With all things considered, i wish i have a straight answer to this question. My program consists on qualitative aspect of learning so anything that deals with statistics or accounting is totally out of the question. I have many options though:
Option A) Further my education by doing post-graduate studies in Sydney or Canberra. Programs such as Master of Public International Law, Master of International Trade or even Master in International Trade would be the most suitable. Although i haven’t dwelled into the real detail as of yet, since it’s still several months till i officially complete my under-graduate studies.
Option B) Work government organisation such as the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Department of Defence. This is much harder to execute for now because the interviews will be held in the first half of this year, while i’m still in Amsterdam.
Option C) Work in non-governmental organisation such as The Red Cross or Oxfam. It is less appealing for me in the long run and is certainly not as attractive compared to working for government.
Option D) Work in a corporate sector. This option i am yet to dwell in as of yet.
In the long run, i want to undertake another education. Europe is still a formidable place to study and will certainly help me in my future career prospects.
For now, i have many options i can take advantage of and thus it won’t be so serious if one option closes. There is always an alternative method to getting there and i have time to make that happen. After all, i’m still in my lower 20s and only in a very young stage of career development.
